Derek Hall, Beloved Husband, Father, and Caregiver
Derek Hall, aged 76, passed away on September 21, 2023. Born in England, he was a cherished member of the Kaslo community for many years.
Known for his compassionate nature and quick smile, Derek dedicated his life to caring for seniors and people with mental illness, bringing comfort and joy to their lives. His love extended not only to people but also to animals, and he found pleasure in the company of all living beings.
Derek is survived by his wife, Joan, and children, Geoff, Tom, Maria, Richard, and Tamara. He is survived by two sisters and was predeceased by his brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to PALS (Protecting Animal Life Society) in Nakusp, an organization that reflects Derek’s deep love for both people and animals.
Derek’s memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness and caring nature. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and the community he served so selflessly.
