Gowing, Gary Ross

GARY ROSS GOWING AUGUST 19, 1945 – SEPT. 27, 2015
To all the family and friends and far away loved ones; Gary Ross Gowing AKA “Redfeather” passed away in the evening of September 27, 2015. After several complications from his last operation, he made a grand exit, leaving us right around the moment the moon was at total eclipse and bright “RED” in the sky.
He was surrounded by his loved ones and he was at peace and was ready to be done with all the suffering. This was a man like no other, we all know RED as the red head he was, loud and frank and quite a charmer, the word redneck may or may not have been used to describe this man.
Red bent the rules and did things HIS WAY!!! He said what was on his mind. If he thought there was a problem with someone he loved he said it straight up, he never beat around the bush, but lived most of his life in the bush literally; a logger he was, a miner, a prospector, he fought fires and much more.
He built roads with his skidder and cat where some said roads could not be built. He lived a very large life and was an excellent woodsman, fisherman and hunter.
Red worked many interesting jobs but his true calling was logging. He was a very knowledgeable man who worked hard and lived even harder.
Gary leaves behind his loving wife Beverly Ann Gowing, his three daughters, Sherry Thomas(John) Tracey Gowing, Vickie Brown(Daniel ). His Grandchildren; LeeAnn Thomas, Searra Thomas, Scott Gould, Savannah Taylor, and Breanna Taylor. His Great Grandchildren; Oakland Tiavola( Chief) and Bernard McMahon (Little RedFeather). His Brother Frank Gowing, his sisters; Marion Lerfold, Louise Burgess, and Ruth Poznikoff(Fred). He leaves behind many neices and nephews. He is predeceased by his Father Oliver Gowing, his Mother Edith Gowing, his Brother Jerry Gowing and his Brother-in-law John Lerfold.
May you rest in peace “REDFEATHER” knowing that we all love you and will miss you and we will be OK!
