Ferguson, Christopher

Christopher passed away peacefully at the age of 61, at the Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson on June 6, 2023, with his family by his side. Chris was born in Nelson, BC on December 2, 1961.
Chris was a “jack of all trades” and lived in many places doing many different jobs over his lifetime. However, he always returned to Nelson. Chris was known as “Ferg” to the many people he got to know when frequenting his favourite haunts around town. He loved to draw and was a gifted artist. Chris lived life to the fullest and always on his own terms.
He is survived by his father, Warren Ferguson, and his siblings, Pam Kilpatrick, Sue Moisey, Brian Ferguson, many nieces, and nephews, and was predeceased by his mother, Gaie Ferguson.
The family thanks the staff at Kootenay Lake Hospital, Paul Cunningham, and all those wonderful Interior Health staff who assisted and cared for Chris over the last many months. Also, thank you to Chris’s neighbours and friends who always lent a helping hand. Finally, we give special thanks to Mark Cameron, who has been a devoted friend to Chris for many years, and for his great help and support to Chris during life and illness. Thank you to you all!
