Michael Robert (Bob) Dowes passed away peacefully on February 7, 2023, in Nelson, BC, at the age of 92.
Bob was born in Rosebery, BC, on February 12, 1930, to Michal Dowes and Mildred Cutler. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lillian, his parents, his sisters Nellie and Lena, and his brother Joe.
Manny, as he was known to family, was a very loving and kind son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Bob is survived by his daughter Sharon, son Mike (Michelle), grand-daughters Brianne, Simone, and Chantel, sister Bernice, brother-in-laws Gordon (Leny) Settle and Ted (Maureen) Settle, sister-in-law Freda Dowes, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place, and burial will follow at a later date. No services will be held as requested by Bob.
