Constance Elizabeth Bowles
It is with heavy heart we announce the passing of our dear mother Constance (Connie) Elizabeth Bowles of Kaslo B.C. December 8, 2013 at the age of 93.
She was born in Nelson B.C. on May 23, 1920 to Arthur & Evelyn Noakes of Balfour B.C. Where she attended school and helped work the farm till she met, and married Ken Bowles from Alberta on March 28,1939.
They resided first in Balfour before moving to Trail then to Winlaw. In 1947 they bought a farm and moved to Meadow Creek where she resided for 41 years before moving to Kaslo to live the rest of her life.
She is survived by her 8 daughters Elaine Robinson, Maurine Settle (Ted), Kerry Lochhead (Gene),Sandra Stunzi, Jennifer Hadikin, Valerie Larsen, Sylvia Hamilton, and Candy Gagnon (Cliff). 24 Grandchildren,
50 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her 2 younger twin brothers Chuck Noakes (Nina) and Bob Noakes (Irene).
In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Residents Activity Fund Kaslo Community Health Center.
Service to be held by Len Trenholme at St. Marks Anglican Church Kaslo at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 16th, 2013 followed by burial at Balfour Cemetery and a tea at the Legion Hall Kaslo at 2:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Service.
