Steffany Colins, late of Balfour, BC, passed away the age of 60 in the Trail hospital on April 13, 2023, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her mother, Shirley, and sister-in-law Carmen (Frank), father Joseph, and brother Dwaine.
Steffany was born in Maple Creek, SK, on August 4, 1962. Steffany was an active supporter in her community, being an integral part of many fundraising efforts put on by groups throughout Balfour. She was always the life of the party. If there was a spot to fill on the dance floor, she was there. If there was a party to organize, she was always there to make it happen. If there was a favourite place to be it would be out on the ‘Yuma Deck’, bathing in the sun. Steffany is survived by her loving husband Ken Loeppky, her brothers Frank (Sherrill), Jerry (Kim), Barry (Donna), stepchildren Turk (Samantha), and Stephanie (Mark), as well as her seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on May 27, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Balfour Covenant Church, with treats and coffee to follow. The interment will be held with close family and friends at 2:00 pm at the Balfour Cemetery. Finally, a gathering to ‘raise a glass to Steffany’ will be held at the Balfour Beach Inn at 3:00 pm where all are welcome. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choosing in Steffany’s name.
