Helen (Sookerookoff) Bayoff passed away March 10, 2021 in Mountain Lakes Senior Home in Nelson, BC at the age of 91.
Helen is predeceased by her husband Bill, mother Polly, father Alex and brothers Alec and Peter.
Helen loved gardening especially her flower beds, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She also loved cooking for her family, cousins and friends.
While living at Mountain Lakes she participated and enjoyed bingo (won many stuffed animals), gardening and listening with the sing along group.
The family would like to thank all who cared for her over the last few years making her stay at Mountain Lakes Sr. Home pleasant and welcoming.
A special thanks to Dr. Janz, the nurses, the care aids and the support workers.
She will be forever remembered and cherished by her children Denis (Debbie), Gale (Ken Sbitney). Grandchildren, Selena (Patrick Dillon), Charlene Naismith, Alex and Maddy. Great grandchildren Ava, Liam and Paxton. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.
In lieu of flowers we ask everyone to plant a special flower in your garden in Helen’s memory.
Due to the exceptional circumstances of this year, there will be a private family celebration sometime in the future.
