Arden Husum
With sadness the family of Arden announce his passing on April 21, 2011.
Arden was predeceased by his parents Peter and Gladys Husum, his brothers Albert (Sam) Myers and Irwin Myers. He is survived by his sisters Ruth Hufty and Agnes Sweet, and also many nieces and nephews.
Arden graduated from L.V. Rodgers High School in 1956 and went on to UBC where he graduated with his engineering degree. He then worked for many years for McMillian Blowdell on the west coast.
Arden was always one to “march to his own drummer” and throughout the years had a large array of interesting friends and co-workers.
Arden retired to his beloved log house in 1980 and spent many happy years adding on to the log house and sharing his piece of paradise with his friends and family. Only ill health forced his move to Nelson where he spent his last 10 years comfortably at Kiwanas Villa. Much time was spent at his favorite pastime Keno, where only a short time ago he celebrated with a big win!
A man for all seasons, Arden will truly be missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
