Trafalgar, LVR runners qualify for Track and Field Championships

Athletes from Trafalgar Middle School and L.V. Rogers High School recently qualified to compete in the upcoming BC High School Track and Field Championships.
Six athletes will be travelling to Langley for the BC High School Track and Field Championships from June 7-10 in the Fraser Valley.
The LVR competitors include Allison Hung, Maya Abraham and Mitchell Erickson.
Hung won the Senior Girls 400 meters, while Abraham captured gold in the Senior Girls 100 meter and 400 meter hurdles. Erickson blazed to wins in the Senior Boys 800 meter and 1500 meter races.

Trafalgar winners included Aleah Smith in the Junior Girls 800 meter and 1500 meter races; Grade 8 runner Dawson Abraham winning the 800 meter and 1500 meter races; and Ruby Nay the Junior Girls 3000 meters.
All runners are members of the Kootenay Chaos Track Club, coached by Alex Ulaszonek.
The BC High School Track and Field Championships are set for Thursday through Saturday at McLeod Athletic Park in Langley.
