Glaicer gymnasts won three medals at the 2023 BC Winter Games which took place March 24-25, in Vernon.

Each Zone in BC sent their top six gymnasts to participate in this exclusive event.

In the Level 7 category, 15 year-old, Molly Anderson, won the gold medal on beam with her graceful and confident beam routine and she also earned the 5th place spot on floor, only 0.15 away from the gold medal.

Teammate Jersey Skolka, 13 years old, also competed in the Level 7 category and captured the bronze medal on floor with a spectacular show of high tumbling, stuck landings and beautiful dance.

In the Level 8 category, 13 year-old, Anni van Hellemond, took the bronze medal on floor with her soaring aerial skills and dance elements.

Also in the Level 8 category, Macy Loutit, finished 9th on floor and bars, and Anouk Prud’homme, finished 9th on Vault.

“The coaching team is very pleased with the results at this competition because all the girls moved up one competition level this season, which required them to perfect many new skills,” said Glacier Gymnastics Head Coach, Sandra Long.

“Focusing and following their competition plans enabled them to perform some personal best routines at this highly competitive and stressful event.”

The gymnasts next big competition will be BC Provincial Championships in Surrey, March 31 – April 2, where they will join nine other teammates on the Glacier Gymnastics Team.
