The L.V. Rogers Bombers used home field advantage to capture the Kootenay Zone Girl's Soccer Championships Thursday at the Lakeside Pitch in Nelson.

The Bombers blasted Kootenay River of Creston in game two of the three-team round-robin tournament.

The contest was stopped early by the game referee after consultation between officials and coaches.

The Bombers held a double-digit lead when the decision was made to halt the contest.

LVR opened the tournament with a shutout victory over David Thompson Lakers of Invermere.

Bomber keeper Gia Davidson posted clean sheets in both games.

LVR now advances to represent the Kootenay Zone at the BC High School Girls Soccer Championships in June.
