Twenty years running, and the Nelson Road Kings Queen City Cruise still gets better and better.

Massive crowds filled the streets, Friday for the parade through downtown Nelson, and Saturday for the car show that had vehicles lining Baker Street from east to west.

The 20th annual Road Kings Queen City Cruise was once again a hit for the community, attracting a record number — 495 — trucks, cars, motorcycles and boats participating from throughout BC, Washington State, Idaho and Alberta.

Vehicles owners began descending on the Heritage City Friday afternoon under warm, summer-like temperatures for registration at the Nelson Chamber of Commerce in Railtown. The parade followed during the evening through the downtown core to Nelson’s Big Orange Bridge.

Early Saturday morning, vehicles began arriving on Baker Street for the Show & Shine and the Poker Walk.

Trophy and prize presentations were held Saturday afternoon followed by a Poker Run on the North Shore.

The day concluded with a rocking dance at Railtown headlined by the 25th Anniversary Concert of BC/DC.
