Meet Independent candidate Corinne Mori

Independent candidate for Kootenay Central in the upcoming provincial election, Corinne Mori, is hosting an open forum at the North Shore Hall Thursday, September 19 beginning at 7 p.m.

Mori, who is up against incumbent MLA Brittny Anderson of the sitting NDP, and Nicole Charlwood of the Green Party, is running on a platform of efficient management of resources to lower taxation, restoring services to rural BC and a transparent and accountable government.

Guest speaker for the evening is Dr. Matthew Evans-Cockle, PH.D, who will lead the discussion in the results of government overtaxation and overregulation.

The election is officially begins this year, when the Writ is dropped on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024.

The public can register in advance online or by phone until midnight on Oct. 7, 2024. Failure to register means voters must sign up on arrival when arriving to vote.

The provincial election is Saturday, October 19, 2024.
