Neptunes swimmers eager to test Provincial competition at UBC Aquatic Centre

It’s full speed ahead for a group of Nelson Neptunes swimmers as the contingent prepares to compete in the BC Summer Swim Association Championships August 16-19 at the University of BC Aquatic Centre in Vancouver.
Many of the Neptune swimmers qualified for the provincials following the Kootenay Regional Championship held in Colville on the August long weekend.
However, only a small contingent — Charlotte Anderson, Hazel Anderson, Kallie Badry, Keira Badry, Megan Bonikowsky, Ceilidh Campbell, Makai Eaton, Sasha Eaton and Lilly Mieske — are going to compete in Vancouver.
Prior to the Regional meet, the Neptunes hosted its 53rd Annual Invitational Swim Meet June 29-30 with 64 swimmers competing. As well, Nelson competed on the Kootenay Summer Swim Association season with stops in Grand Forks, Trail, Castlegar, Colville, Creston and Kimberley.
