Kimberley RCMP are advising the public of reports that during the past several days there have been three separate reports of lug nuts being loosened on vehicles all in the Townsite area of the Bavarian City.

“The Kimberley RCMP would like to make the public aware of this situation and advise drivers to inspect their vehicles before driving in order to avoid a serious accident,” the media release said.

Anyone witnessing suspicious behaviour is asked to report this activity to the local Detachment at 250-427-4811.

Kimberley RCMP also reported that on July 19, 2024 officers were called to Mark Creek near the downtown core in Kimberley after witnesses believed they had observed a person in the water.

Kimberley RCMP was assisted by Kimberley Search and Rescue as well as the BC Coroner’s Service.

Kimberley RCMP does not believe there was any criminality involved and the family is receiving support through Victim Services.
