Creston RCMP said that a motorcycle rider has died following a crash over the weekend on Highway 3A.

RCMP said that on Saturday, July 27, 2024, officers responded to a single motorcycle collision on Highway 3A at Twin Bays, north of Creston.

RCMP said a 71-year-old male driver of a motorcycle was being treated for injuries sustained.

“Evidence at the scene suggested the driver, who was travelling alone and south on Highway 3A, failed to navigate a corner,” RCMP media release said.

“This resulted in his motorcycle travelling left off the highway.”

Cpl. James Grandy, BC RCMP spokesperson said that sadly, the man succumbed to the injuries he’d sustained and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

RCMP, along with BC Highway Patrol and the BC Coroners Service, are continuing to investigate the cause.
