Kootenay Chaos runners scored medals at Kelowna Track and Field meet

Athletes from the Kootenay Chaos Track and Field Club won a handful of medals during the recent the Kelowna Track and Field meet.

Dawson Abraham, Ruby Nay, Octavia Masse, Aleah Smith and Oscar Masse all returned with medals from the meet that included athletes from BC, Alberta, and a visiting team from Australia.

Abraham won a silver medal in the U-16 800 meter race as well as a bronze in the 1200 while Nay captured gold in the U-18 3000.

Octavia Masse claimed two gold medals in both the U-10 600 meters and the 1000 meters while Smith took home a bronze in the U-18 1500.

Oscar Masse also won a pair of silver medals in both the U-14  800 meters and the 1200 meters.

The Kootenay Chaos Track and Field Club trains year round at Nelson’s Lakeside Fields and offers coaching in all the disciplines of the sport, with a major focus on the running events.
