Fatal single-vehicle collision near Salmo

On June 8, 2024, at 10:40 p.m., frontline officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle motor vehicle collision near the bridge at Second Relief Road, near Salmo, according to RCMP Cpl. James Grandy.

“Upon arrival, it appeared the driver had lost control of his vehicle, before colliding with the bridge’s barricades,” Grandy said. “Sadly, the driver, a 43-year-old man from Salmo, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

RCMP, along with the BC Coroners Service are continuing their investigation into the cause.
