Beat the Climate Blues with an exploratory conversation at Nelson Public Library
Whether it be the skyrocketing daily costs of daily essentials or the constant media messaging about how doomed we are, it is hard to beat the climate blues these days.
Are there any affordable, practical solutions that actually make a difference?
The West Kootenay Climate Hub and the Nelson Public Library are teaming up to offer an evening of exploration into that very question.
During this program, the community will be invited to explore three different tools that can make a positive impact on our environment: heat pumps, electrical vehicles and renewable energy.
The workshop will be held at the Nelson Public Library on Wednesday, April 10 from 7-8:30 p.m.
“There’s still a lot of confusion and misinformation about climate change, some being intentionally spread by those wanting to delay solutions. It can be challenging to figure out,” says Laura Sacks, who is helping to lead the program.
“We look forward to providing an interactive and open space to explore this topic.”
Sacks is a cofounder and coordinator with the West Kootenay Climate Hub.
She is a trained Climate Reality Leader and is the 2019 recipient of the Suzie Hamilton Legacy Award.
