Selkirk College staff put together 69 gift baskets this week in an attempt to brighten the holiday season for students staying on campus for the holidays.

Katie Comrie, Healthy Campus Coordinator for the college says the gifts are intended to make the season a little brighter for those in residence who will be sticking around for the holidays.

The Nelson Daily reporter Ari Lord spoke with international student, Hitkamini, to find out how she will be spending her holidays here in town in the latest edition of the Hall Printing Daily Dose.

Hitkamini, who is from India, loves Nelson and its residents and her stay here has exceeded her expectations.

“I’m really happy to be here,” says Hitkamini.
