Bombers travel to Dawson Creek for AAA Girls Volleyball Championships
The L.V. Rogers Bombers recently advanced to the BC High School AAA Girls Volleyball Championships in Dawson Creek with a victory over rival J. Lloyd Crowe Hawks.
The Bombers swept the Hawks in three games to claim the Kootenay Zone Title.
LVR leaves Wednesday from Cranbrook where the team will fly to Dawson Creek for the tournament beginning Thursday.
LVR enters the tournament ranked 10th going and meets Charles Hays from Prince Rupert at 11:45 a.m. in opening round action.
The Bombers play Prince George at 2:15 p.m. and Stelly’s from Saanich at 6 p.m. to conclude the preliminary round.
Sentinel from Vancouver, Vernon Secondary and W.L. Seaton of Vernon and Little Flower Academy of Vancouver are the top seeds in the 15-team tournament.
This will be the final tournament of their careers for graduating seniors, Atlyn Proctor, Lexi Elias, Robyn Bunyan, Amelia Finley and Megan Bonikowsky.
