Granite Pointe salutes Club Championship winners

Jeff Langin carded five-under-par 139 to capture the 36-hole Granite Pointe Men’s Club Championship Sunday at the Rosemont Course in Nelson.

Michelle Palm won the Women’s tournament while Torin Edmonds and Paul Burkart captured the Junior and Senior titles, respectively.

Langin, the defending champion, opened with a three-under-par 69 Saturday before finishing up with a two-under-par 70 Sunday.

Langin, winner of the title in five of past six years, was three shots better than A.J. Cooper.

Cooper won the title in 2021 and in 2013. Other past winners include Jordan Melanson, Matt Hopkins, four-time champ Rob Little, Hanno Southam, Gary Schmidt, Mike Pastuck, Tony Graci and 14-time champ Brian DeBiasio.

More than 20 players competed in the weekend Club Championship Tournament.

Kennedy Shootout Tees Off Sunday

Time is running out on players wanting to enter the second annual Kennedy Shootout, Sunday, August 27th at Granite Pointe.

The two-person scramble event has a guaranteed first prize of $2,000 with other prizes for KP’s, Top Five Teams and Simulator KP Contest.

There are also two $10,000 prizes for a Hole-in-one.
