Amazing news: this year’s Columbia Basin Culture Tour is going to be the biggest one ever, with 110 venues.

Throughout the Columbia Basin, residents and visitors are invited to hit the road to view extraordinary art, take part in unique events and fill a couple of summer days with colour and delight—all for free. The 15th annual self-guided tour takes place on Saturday and Sunday, July 29 and 30, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visit artists’ studios, museums, art galleries and heritage sites. With exhibitions, artwork displays, creative-process demonstrations and performances, there’s something new to experience at each venue. The tour is suitable for all ages, so bring the whole family!

Visit cbculturetour.com or pick up a printed copy of the Columbia Basin Culture Tour directory, available around the region in locations like visitors’ centres. Also follow @wkartscouncil on Facebook or Instagram to learn more about tour venues, and mark that you’re “going” on the tour’s Facebook event

Venues are located in these areas, with multiple fascinating options in each one:

The Columbia Basin Culture Tour is a project of the Columbia Kootenay Cultural Alliance, managed by the West Kootenay Regional Arts Council and funded by Columbia Basin Trust. Support has also been provided by Nelson and Kootenay Lake Tourism.
