Mother’s Day Peace Rally at Lakeside Park

KAIROS, a joint venture ecumenical program administered by the United Church of Canada, is hosting a Mother’s Day Peace Rally on Sunday, May 14th at the Lakeside Park Rotary Shelter.
The event runs from 2-4 p.m. with everyone welcome to attend.
Speakers include Marcia Braundy and Hannah Hadikin, who is the Voice of Women for Peace Canada.
The event, with music, drumming and songs, will also feature Julia Ward Howe’s Mother’s Day Proclamation of 1870.
“Let’s Rise Together for Peace — A Peaceful World for All Our Children.”
