Breath of Spring campaign supports purchase of Vital Signs Monitors

Anyone visiting Kootenay Lake hospital in Nelson, has had their vital signs checked by a nurse or physician.
This season, donations to the Breath of Spring campaign will support the purchase of three state of the art Vital Signs Monitors for the Medical Ward at Kootenay Lake Hospital.
This essential equipment records a patient’s blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels.
Every patient needs to have their vital signs taken frequently throughout their stay in the hospital.
The addition of multiple monitors will reduce the need to share equipment between patients, thus reducing the chance of infection.
These monitors will connect to the Central Monitoring System that was recently purchased thanks to your generous donations.
