Nelson Leafs claim U13 Rep Hockey Tournament

Nelson Leafs outlasted Foremost, AB, 7-5 to capture the Elk Valley Raiders U13 Rep Minor Hockey Tournament this past weekend in Fernie.
The victory in the championship final made it four consecutive wins after the Nelson Minor Hockey squad opened the tournament with a tie — 3-3 tie against Foremost.
The Leafs then blasted Lethbridge, AB, 14-1 before edging host Elk Valley 5-3 and Creston 6-3.
The team includes, coaches Jackson Giroux, Mike Dickinson, Ryan Bowen and Martin Grill and players, Eli Grill, Casey Ogle, Axl Smith, Bennet Dickinson, Duncan Giroux, Cole Taylor, Pyper Nash, Isabella Conne-Correnti, Alexandra Shrieves, Oakley Dickinson, Lucas Hill, Nolan Smith, Isabelle Dowell, Jacob Makasoff and Kristian Bowen.
