West Kootenay Kestrels capture Slugfest Tournament

The 15U West Kootenay Kestrels defeated Calgary West to capture the 15U AA Slugfest Tournament held earlier this month in Cranbrook.
The Kestrels squad consists of players from three West Kootenay Minor Baseball Associations — Nelson, Trail and Castlegar.
The three-day tournament featured teams from Calgary, Cranbrook, West Kootenay, and Grand Forks.
Team members include Grady Gross, Kaleb Weller, Theo Byers-Bohigian, Adam Sorenson, Cash Nay, Kolten Miller, Ryland Reiberger, Connor Bruce, Tuzo Sevigny, Sebastian Conne-Correnti, Thane Joyce, Ty Evdokimoff and coaches Jim Sevigny, Dwane Sorenson, Chris Joyce and Rick Miller.
