IODE makes major donation to Supporting Ukrainian Families to Nelson

In June the Nelson IODE donated $2,000 to the Nelson Ukraine Families.
This generous donation will help with the costs for the two Ukraine families that we are supporting in Nelson to be secure in Canada with the tools in English, medical costs, living, clothing, and transportation.
The small Supporting Ukrainian Families to Nelson committee is thankful for the community support to make the transition from Ukraine to Canada a less complicated experience for these two families.
In late-April, more than 130 people attended a Ukrainian perogies and beer night at Finley’s Bar & Grill that raised $8,500.
Kootenai Moon and the Nelson Leafs Hockey Club have also joined in to donate to the fundraising cause.
