Mallard's Team of the Week — L.V. Rogers Bombers Soccer

The L.V. Rogers Bombers have qualified to compete in the BC High School Girls’ Soccer Championship in June in the Fraser Valley.
The Bombers cruised to the title, blasting David Thompson of Invermere 5-0 in the final in the Kootenay Zones held recently in Creston.
LVR advanced to the final in the four-team tournament by stopping Stanley Humphries of Castlegar 9-0 in the semi-final contest.
Cayenne Caney paced the Bomber scoring attack, converting a pair of markers in each of the game.
LVR keeper Gabby Bobby pitched shutouts in both games.

The Bombers, coached by Morag Paterson, includes Ally Nicholson, Halle Martin, Rosie Davis, Hannah McClure, Gabby Bobby, Cayenne Caney, Taya Wastle, Thea Rude, Taya Short, Lila Carmichael, Jesse Chochinov, Aurora Dool, Maddy Jewitt, Molly Dool, Shelbi van Hellemond, Skyla Short and Niyah Martineau.
