Mallard's Team of the Week — Kootenay Volleyball Club U-17

The Kootenay Volleyball Club gained some excellent experience against some top-flight competition at last month’s BC Club Championships in Richmond.
The Kootenay Volleyball Club U-17 Girls squad finished winless in six matches, but according to coach Joe Moreira, “wins and/or losses became so irrelevant compared to the team’s performance.”
Moreira said the story behind our finish is our amazing play throughout the tournament, and in particular, Sunday.
“In Sunday’s (three) matches every player competed with the tenacity that is typically common to College/University teams,” he explained.
“All (eight) players were totally engaged, focused, and committed to keeping the ball off our side of the court.
“It was inspiring to watch!”
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the Kootenay Volleyball Club U-17 Girls squad as Team of the Week.
The team includes, Brynn Strelaeff, Natasha Holland, Robyn Bunyan, Megan Bonikowsky, Atlyn Proctor, Lexi Elias, Breanna St Thomas and Gevyn Hlookoff.
