On the same day when the province reported 801 new COVID-19 cases — 237 in Interior Health — the outbreak at Nelson’s Jubilee Manor seniors care home has been declared over.

During six-week period since Interior Health declared the outbreak at the Rosemont long-term care home, five cases were reported — two residents and three staff members.

Sadly, there were two deaths connected with the COVID-19 outbreak.

Thursday, the Ministry of Health in its daily media release reported six deaths — all in the Interior Health region — for a total of 1,824.
