UPDATED: Nelson Police report missing man has been located

The man reported missing Wednesday has been located Nelson Police said Thursday in a media release.
“This person has been located,” the NPD media release said.
“NPD wishes to thank the public for their assistance.”
Police request public assistance in locating missing Nelson man
Nelson Police is asking the public for assistance in the search for 38-year-old Dallas Paulsen.
Nelson Police said Paulsen, who is a Nelson resident, has not been heard from since the afternoon of August 18, 2021 (Wednesday).
Paulsen is described as approximately 5’9” with a medium build, brown hair and has a beard.
Nelson Police said Paulsen was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt, light colored jeans, leather cowboy hat, and was carrying a light green backpack.
Nelson Police said friends are concerned for the well-being of Paulsen and wish to locate him as quickly as possible.
Anyone who has spoken to Paulsen in the past few days is asked to contact the Nelson Police Department at 250-354-3919 or the local RCMP Detachment.
