Residents of the City of Nelson go to the polls Saturday, March 27th to vote on filling the vacant seat after councillor Brittny Anderson resigned to sit as NDP MLA for Nelson-Creston following a win in the October 2020 provincial election.

Three candidates — Nicole Charlwood, Josh Wapp and Brenton Raby — will be on the ballot Saturday at the Prestige Lakeside Resort.

Originally, four candidates filed nomination papers.

However, Daniel Nolan decided to withdraw from the By-Election.

The By-Election will be monitored by Sarah Winton and Gabriel Bouvet-Boisclair, appointed the Chief Election Officer and Deputy Chief Election Officer, respectively.

Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
