With the coronavirus COVID-19 raising havoc on the way the sporting public interacts, Mallard’s Source for sports thought this might be a good time to take a trek back down memory lane to find its Team of the Week.
Mallard’s Source for sports is going back in time to look at Teams from the Nelson history books.
This week Mallard’s Team of the Week is the 2007 Nelson Minor Hockey, Midget Reps coached by longtime hockey greats Gary Kilpatrick and Frank Carlson.
The Midget Reps lost one game all season, which came during the BC Minor Hockey Championships to host Cranbrook. Nelson finished second at the Provincial Tournament.
The team includes, Steve Curtz, Brent Kilpatrick, Vito Iacullo, Denny Eastman, Chipper Wallace, Doug Jay, Jeff Frankford, Norm Lepine, Jamie Burk, Andy McGregor, Brent Mowery, Mike Paquette, David Elmes, David Zarikoff, Brian Crossly, Ray Sauard, Mike Gleason, Jodie Burk, Jon Dejmovich and Rob Swell.
