LVR High School Grad Class showcased Nelson Avenue
L.V. Rogers Grad committee decided to bring the graduates to the community with a photo display across from the Husky-Mohawk Gas Station on Nelson Avenue.
Individual photos of the 2020 LVR High School Graduating Class are on display, attached to the chain-link fence on the 700 block of Nelson Avenue.
The LVR ceremonies begin Friday with a unique recording of their commencement ceremony on June 12th, with each graduate’s name called virtually to receive their diploma and then a special ‘Say Something’ curated by the students themselves will be read aloud.
The ceremony will be video recorded and released at the end of June to students and families.
Saturday, at 4 p.m., respecting Social Distancing, the class will participate in the annual Cavalcade along Baker Street and before continuing through Nelson.
Spectators are advised to respect Social Distancing, and if not possible, wear a mask due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Citizens are encouraged to bang pots and pans and make noise similar to when Nelsonites showed respect for the healthcare workers during the early stages of the pandemic.
The LVR Grad Class of 2020 is all smiles despite having COVID-19 raise havoc with their final year of high school.

Congrats to the 2020 LVR High School Graduating Class.
