Nelson welcomes 2020 New Year's Baby

A Heritage City couple are the proud parents of a new born baby, the first of 2020 for Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson.
Amanda Ferreira De Moura Cavalcantiand Jimmy Bundschuh welcomed eight-pound, five-ounce Luca Cavalcanti Bundschuh on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 8:06 p.m.
Luca was not only a blessing for parents Amanda and Jimmy but also for older brother, four-and-a-half Oliver. Mother and child are doing well, resting at home in Nelson.
The first baby in the Interior Health region was a five-pound, three-ounce girl, arriving at 6:02 a.m. on New Year’s Day to Kelsey and Brian McCune of Kelowna.
The first new baby born in B.C. arrived at 12:01 a.m. on New Year’s Day at Royal Columbia Hospital in New Westminster.
The proud parents of the baby girl are Claire and Jahamel Tabuada of Coquitlam.
