Mallard's Team of the Week — Nelson Women's Soccer Club

Laura Waterer scored twice and Meredith Vezina added a single to spark the Nelson Women’s Soccer Club to a 4-2 victory over Tri-Cities in the final of the Spokane Summer Classic Tournament this past weekend in the Lilac City.
Nelson won its opening game 4-1 before dropping Game two 4-3. The Heritage City squad advanced to the final with a lopsided 7-2 shellacking in Game three.
Mallard’s Source for sports is pleased to select the Nelson Women’s Soccer Club as Team of the Week.
The team includes Nicole Walker, Meredith Vezina, Sarah Kozlowski, Laura Waterer, Marlisa Crosland, Carolyn Thomson, Christina Long, Carmyn Wright, Sheena Grant, Kate Walker and Brenna Leitch.
