Royal Canadian Navy League salutes Nelson’s Sebastian Bodine

Nelson’s Sebastian Bodine was recently in Ottawa where the 81 Hampton Gray Sea Cadet was honoured with the Royal Canadian Navy Leadership Award.

The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Chief Petty Officer First Class received the award from Vice-Admiral M.F. Rob Lloyd, Commander of the Royal Canadian Navy with Lt (N), Ret, Earle Corn during the National Navy League Annual Luncheon last month in Ottawa.

The award is for:

 “For his exceptional leadership in citizenship, teamwork and aiding in the development of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet identity and morale.  His outstanding participation in training and community-based activities within the Sea Cadet Program is regarded by his peers and supervisors as representative of the model Royal Canadian Sea Cadet and Canadian citizen ~ Bravo Zulu!"

Prior to the National Navy League Luncheon Bodine was requested to perform the duties of Master of Ceremonies for the Canadian Navy League AGM Banquet where he also gave a speech about his seven years of training, coaching, mentorship and international expeditions with the Canadian Sea Cadet Programme.
