Mallard's Team of the Week — Sarah Beckett Run

The inaugural Sarah Beckett Memorial run went off without a hitch recently at Lakeside Park.
More than 60 people, mostly from the first responder community, took advantage of perfect running weather to support the inaugural Sarah Beckett Memorial Run on the waterfront in Nelson.
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the runners with Team of the Week honours.
The event was in support of Cst. Sarah Beckett, who died tragically in the line of duty after her marked police vehicle was struck by a pickup in the early hours of on April 5, 2016 in Langford, BC.
Money raised from the Sarah Beckett Memorial Run will be donated to the Capital Regional District Traffic Safety Commission, which had created the Cst. Sarah Beckett Memorial Scholarship.
