Pan, Erickson power Bombers to Hawks Tournament Title

The L.V. Rogers Bombers swept all three games en route to capturing the Hawks Invitational Junior Boy’s Basketball Tournament Saturday in Trail.
The Bombers defeated host J. Lloyd Crowe Hawks, Stanley Humphries of Castlegar and Salmo to claim the title.
LVR is now undefeated in six games.
The Bombers opened the tournament Friday by stopping the Hawks 60-49 behind the 20-point performance of Nathaniel Pan. Matti Erickson chipped in with 14 to help lead the offence.
Saturday, LVR opened with a 65-48 victory over Stanley Humphries. Pan once again led the attach with 14 points while Mateo Kataoka added 11.
The Bombers concluded the sweep by dumping Salmo 50-36. Pan had 10 points while Erickson scored seven.
LVR finished fifth last week at a tournament in Fernie before defeating Castlegar Wednesday at the LVR Hangar.
