Mallard's Team of the Week — Beasley Fire Rescue

Recently, Al Craft, former Fire Chief at Beasley Fire Rescue was honoured with the Canada Post Emergency Responders Award.

Craft, a mainstay with the local Fire Rescue organization for years, was joined by Nelson Police Chief Paul Burkart; Nelson Police Department Const. Lisa Schmidtke and her husband, Nelson Fire Rescue Firefighter Gerry Schmidtke; retired Nelson Fire Rescue Firefighter Gord Rae; and BC Ambulance Paramedics, represented by Deb Morris as part of the group honoured by Catherine McRae-Scanlon, Retail Lead Hand at the Nelson Post Office on behalf of Canada Post.

The crew at Beasley Fire Rescue decided to get in on the act by taking a team photo with Craft during recent fire practice at the Hall in Beasley.

Mallard’s Source for sports also decided to get in on the action by selecting the brave men and women at Beasley Fire Rescue with Team of the Week honours.

If anyone gets into an accident in the Beasley, Bonnington, Taghum area, be sure there will be a Beasley Fire Rescue member quickly attending the scene to help.
