Mallard's Team of the Week — West Kootenay Boundary Slopitch

West Kootenay/Boundary Slopitch squad had the bats booming as the host zone outlasted Vancouver Island North 17-12 to capture the Gold Medal at the 2018 BC 55-Plus Senior Games in Kimberley/Cranbrook.
The team consists of players from Nelson, Trail, Genelle, Rossland, Castlegar and Salmo.
Mallard’s Source for sports would like to salute the Gold Medal performance with Team of the Week honours.
West Kootenay/Boundary squad includes Mike Roch, Ken Haynes, Rick Lowen, Luree Gould, Lorne Wuori and Joe Capiglione of Nelson; Bob Murray of Rossland, Nona Kutcher of Castlegar, Bruce Borsato, Barry Benner and Colin McLean of Trail, Alta Pinney of Salmo, Carson Erickson, John Mota and Christine Mota of Genelle and James Ross.
