Mallard's Team of the Week — Team Sonnichsen

It was Team Sonnichsen finding a way to the winner’s circle in synchronized swimming at the 2018 BC Summer Games that wrapped up Sunday in Cowichan Valley.
Brooke and Ashley Sonnichsen of Nelson combined to capture gold in synchronized AG 11-12 Duet as well as Brooke Sonnichsen capturing the top place in AG 11-12 Figures. Ashley Sonnichsen took the silver medal in AG 11-12 Figures.
Other medalists included double gold winner Matti Erickson of Nelson, Cloe Comstock taking home silver medals in girl’s vaulting division D Canter Combined on Day 1, 2 and 3 and the Kootenay Zone Golf team of Cameron Bibby-Fox and Brendon Mckeiv of Nelson, A.J. Roberts of Castlegar, Iain Douglas of Kimberley and Jonace Johnson of Cranbrook won the bronze medal.
