The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) has expanded the Land Use Plan for Electoral Area G and is seeking community feedback.

The Official Community Plan has been expanded to include all of the communities within Electoral Area G following recent wildfire activity in the area and recognition of the vulnerability of domestic water supply and critical infrastructure during such events. Land use regulation in the form of zoning continues to only apply to those communities north of the Village of Salmo and to the expanded area of Rosebud Lake, Nelway and the Pend O’Reille.

“I encourage all Area G residents to become familiar with their land use plan and attend meetings to ask questions or submit feedback,” said Hans Cunningham, Director of Electoral Area G.

Residents should have already received an invitation to the upcoming community plan open houses in their mailboxes.

The workshops will be held as follows:

APEX, HALL SIDING, PORTO RICO, YMIR

6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Ymir Community Hall, 7210 1st Avenue, Ymir

Thursday, March 22, 2018

6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
