Kootenay Pride 2017 looking for volunteers

Kootenay Pride 2017 is looking for volunteers for the annual Pride Weekend event, set for September 1-4 in Nelson.
Stephanie Myers said Kootenay Pride lost a few key members of the organizing committee and are hopeful new people in the community will step forward.
“We want to help keep Nelson colourful, Kootenay Pride weekend as fabulous as ever,” she said.
“Do you want to put on a Pride flavored event over that weekend or maybe help with organizing the parade?” she added.
The committee is hosting an organizing meeting in early August.
