Rossland Youth Week is an entire week of events to celebrate the diverse, talented and overall fantastic youth of Rossland.  This is a brief synopsis of what will be happening April 30-May 5.  For complete details please go to  Youth Week Events are community events open to all!

Youth Give Back – Friday April 29th, 9-11am

Youth from the Seven Summits Centre for Learning,  Ecole des Sept Sommets and Rossland Summit School will be volunteering their time to support projects throughout Rossland.


Free Parkour for youth 12-18 – Friday April 29th, 3:15-4:30pm at the RSS Auditorium

Rossland Monkey Club presents – FREE Art of Movementsession.Free Running, street gymnastics – whatever you want to call it you’ll find it here. Come check it out. Parents must sign a waiver in person for new participants.


Red Talks – Ideas Worth Shredding – April 29thth at the Firehall

An evening of guest speakers, spreading and shredding their ideas, research, life experiences and insights, focusing on the theme Giving Back.  Doors open at 6:30pm, talks begin at 7pm.  Presented by the Seven Summits Centre for Learning and Self Design. $10 adults, $8 youth.  Tickets at the door


Spraypaint/mural workshop – April 30 & May 1st, 10am-5pm

Learn from graffiti artist Bryn Stevenson and help design and create a mural on the (soon to be) new YAN Space.  Only $50 and includes all materials.  Register at:



“When Life Gives You Lemons…”Art Walk– May 1, 6-8pm

The Rossland youth art walk will begin at the YAN Space, 2076 Columbia Avenue, on May 1 from 6-8pm.  Come get your art walk guide, tour our local business venues and cast your vote for the Peoples Choice Award in two categories – grade 6-9 and grade 10-12.  Bring a cup for lemonade tasting and vote for your favourite!  Admission is FREE!


May 2-5 – Art Walk open at business venues during regular business hours.


Art Drop In Night May 2, 7-8:30pm

An evening art drop-in without instruction, just a space to be creative with other youth artists.  FREE

At the YAN Space, 2076 Columbia Ave


Music Performance prep night– May 3, 6:30-8:30pm

Come work on your performance or song.  Get instrument, speech, stage and /or mic skills help. FREE



Girl Talk – Wednesday May 4th, 7-9pm at the Space

Girls only want some time to just relax, talk, and hang out doing cool things with other girls? We have all kinds of awesome, inclusive, creative activities for you at Girl Talk. No Pressure, Chill Space, Girls Only! FREE



Youth Week Gala– May 5, 6:30 pm at the RSS Auditorium

The Youth Gala showcases the talents of Rossland Youth.  Tickets at the door – $5

Our Youth Week wrap event will be an evening of song, dance, video and awards. Presented by the RSS Drama Department.
