Sunday, May 15 at the Lakeside Rotary Park, Nelsonites have a chance to put a dent into the disease during the Scotiabank MS Walk.
The fundraising event begins at 10 a.m. with registration, followed by the walk at 11 a.m.
Participants have the option of walking, running riding the three kilometer or five kilometer along the picturesque Nelson waterfront.
Although even one kilometer is fine because the goal of the event is to raise necessary funds for the MS Society that will provide support to those with MS and their families, as well as to fund research to find the causen and cure.
Participants wanting to advance register can do online at mswalks.ca or call Tara at 1-800-268-7582, extension 7254.
For every $50 dollars people raise online in April, they receive one entry into a draw to win one of three dream getaways.
