L.V. Rogers Grads Shine Spotlight on Talent

The L.V. Rogers Class of 2016 is inviting the community to an evening of homegrown entertainment in support of this June’s graduation celebration.

The annual Grad Talent Show is set for Wednesday, April 13 at Nelson’s Capitol Theatre and promises to be a night full of impressive performances.

“You’ll learn what’s hip with the kids,” laughs Michael Marsland, one of the night’s emcees who will also take the stage with a group to do a barbershop number. “It’s going to be a fun, full of talent and inspiring.”

The show will feature an eclectic night of music, dance, drama and more. All proceeds from the night will towards the graduation weekend festivities which take place June 10-12.

“I think people will be impressed with this year’s show,” says grad and one of this year’s performers Emma Chart. “There are some familiar faces as well as some new ones.”

Tickets for the Grad Talent Show are available at the Capitol Theatre (Tuesday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.), by phone (250.352.6363) or online (capitoltheatre.bc.ca). Tickets are $10 for students/seniors and $15 for adults.

Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.
