A local Kootenay media outlet just released its Top-40 list of business owners under the age of 40.

However, it appears judges may have missed out on naming one new up-and-coming business that is located in lower Fairview — The Lemonade-Ice Tea Stand.

Four up-and-coming business owners, looking to generate some cash to purchase a variety of items, set up shop Thursday morning at the corner of Second and Kokanee Streets in Nelson.

Emma, Paityn, Sam and Tia thought St. Paddy’s Day would be a great time to set up shop to help cool down drivers heading to Lakeside Park.

The quartet has decided to open up shop during Spring Break, and may be out on the street all weekend as Environment Canada is calling for temperatures in low teens — 14C Saturday — this weekend.

The public will see the The Lemonade-Ice Tea Stand on numerous occasions through the summer.

The price is hard to beat, and there are free refills.

Nice marketing strategy by this young group of entrepreneurs.
