Bombers, Hawks take turns winning during Tuesday hoop action at the LVR Hangar
The L.V. Rogers Bombers and J. Lloyd Crowe Hawks took turns beating up on each other during High School Boy’s Basketball action Tuesday at the Hangar.
The Hawks took the game to the Bombers in the opening Junior Boy’s tilt, blasting the home side 38-16.
The tables were turned in the nightcap as host LVR blasted the Hawks 56-21 in Senior Boy’s play.
Jake Anderson and Josh Matosevic each scored 12 points as the Bombers defeated the Hawks for the second time in a week.
Thomas Baxter scored eight points to lead the LVR Junior Bombers attack.
The Senior Bombers, which returned from the Okanagan Mission Tournament with a 1-2 record, now wait to see if they have any competition for the Kootenay provincial AAA berth.
The Junior Bombers travel to Trail in early March before concluding the season with the West Kootenay Junior Boy’s Championships in Castlegar.
